Maine voted to limit contributions to Super PACs, passing "Question 1" with 74.9% of the vote, the most votes for a citizens initiative in Maine history!

The AP called it "
an emphatic vote" in a record turnout election on November 5, 2024.

HOW WE END SUPER PACS
The Supreme Court allows the regulation of contributions when they create a risk of quid pro quo corruption.

Large contributions to candidates create the risk of politicians owing someone other than their constituents. Donors can give unlimited money to SuperPACs, however, which violates the quid pro quo principle. In order to ensure that our elected officials are not beholden to large donations, we must get rid of SuperPACs.
